    Cloe Medina Erickson

    FOUNDER & TREASURER
    Chamonix, France

    Cloe Medina Erickson is the founder and treasurer of the Atlas Cultural Foundation, overseeing its operations and partnerships in Morocco. Having lived part-time in Morocco for more than two decades, she works closely with local communities to support sustainable development and cultural preservation. Trained as an architect, she brings extensive experience in historic preservation and community-based initiatives.

    Susi Dokken

    PRESIDENT
    Montana, USA

    Susi Dokken helped found ACF in 2009, shapes ACF’s vision, strategy, and fundraising efforts. A retired international pilot for United Airlines, she regularly travels to Morocco to visit programs and support communities in Zawiya Ahansal and Ighels. She is passionate about ensuring all funds raised directly benefit local communities and holds a deep personal connection to Morocco.

    Leigh Taggart

    VICE PRESIDENT, PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTOR
    British Columbia, Canada

    Leigh Taggart develops and leads ACF’s public health programs in Morocco. A registered nurse with over 20 years of clinical experience and a Master of Public Health, she develops and implements community health initiatives and trains local partners. She also teaches public health at the University of Montana and brings extensive global experience in program design and evaluation.

    Dominique Speekenbrink

    SECRETARY
    Zurich, Switzerland

    Dominique Speekenbrink supports ACF’s women’s empowerment initiatives. Since first connecting with the organization in 2017, she has remained actively involved and regularly travels to Morocco to engage with local teams and programs. An international attorney with multiple law degrees, she brings broad global experience from her work with multinational organizations.

Atlas Cultural Foundation’s US Board is 100% volunteer-based. Members receive no compensation of any kind.

    Ismail Barda

    CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
    Zawiya Ahansal, Morocco

    Ismail Barda has over a decade of experience in community development and civil society initiatives. He plays a key role in managing and overseeing development projects in the Central High Atlas while also coordinating programs that engage international students with local communities. Ismail is also a certified mountain guide.

    Ayoub Ouameurousaid

    CO-FOUNDER & TREASURER
    Marrakesh, Morocco

    Ayoub Ouameurousaid has nearly two decades of experience leading sustainable development initiatives in rural communities. Originally from Ighels, a small oasis village near Ouarzazate, he has been deeply involved in nonprofit and community-based projects across Morocco. He is passionate about education, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation, and is also a licensed tour guide.

    Chafya Idhammou

    CO-FOUNDER & SECRETARY
    Azilal, Morocco

    Chafya Idhammou leads key initiatives in public health and women’s empowerment, organizing annual health awareness programs and supporting community development efforts. With a background in English literature and experience as a translator and teacher, she is deeply committed to improving the quality of life in underserved communities. Chafiya is also a licensed tour guide.
